Holidays and Special Days: They celebrate during the equinoxes and solstices. The solstices are on the 21st of June and December and the equinoxes occur on March 20/21 and on September 22/23.
What you need to know: Do NOT fight with anything that has a life. You always need to practice yoga, meditation, etc. They do not smoke!
Special Places: Taoist temples are often called Gong, Guan, or Miao in Chinese. The Ying Yang Palace is the most important place for the Daoism.
Clothing: They do not have any specific clothing, but they do wear a lot of bright colored clothing that is made out of silk.
Food and Drinks: Steamed and stir fried veggies, Local and seasonal fruit only, protein, no processed foods, no white sugar and white flour, sea salt instead of rock salt, seeds and nuts, brown rice, barley, and wheat, organic herbs, seaweed, they only drink alcohol if they are sick, tea, celery juice, and fresh water.
- The Ying Yang diagram is the most important of all the Taoist symbols, it represents the movement of heaven or the Tao. The small opposing dots in each area represent the fact that in all evil there exists some good, while in all the good there exists some evil. Also, it represents dark and bright, night and day, dry and moist, aggressive and passive, sun and rain.
